Dani Fuenzalida This is such a beautiful little album... I listen to Jesse (and Ny Oh) for the first time at Sofar Sounds in Wellington in January this year.
I remember this was one of the best and most inspiring Sofar's I've attend to. I was in a really beautiful time in my life and shared this concert with someone really special to me.
Jesse was an inspiration. I remembered talking to him at the end of the gig and saying to him "thank your son much! I feel like I want to go and write songs now ..."
Thank you for your music :)

Nathan Maingard (fan account) Jesse is one of the masterful songwriters of our time, with a sensitivity and lyrical scope far beyond his years. I'm honoured to have sat in his presence listening to his songs, and look forward to doing so again Favorite track: Thank You.

Break Away 06:07
there is a place that I call home as much as I can I do rest there but when I am still I am called on when I am called I must obey there is a land that I come from it's story runs in my river am I the man or the mountain? am I the night of the fading daydream the sky beneath me I am the valiant warrior I am the fearful deserter I am the ghost in the mirror I am the love that is always There is an end to the theatre We will be fire in the ether Still playing the role of 'diva' if only to just fade away to breathing and break away to freedom. Playing the garden of eden her heart is her guide and her beacon singing the birds and the seasons strumming for words cannot express there is a place that we call home as much as we can we do rest there but different lessons we learn from so again we must go to break away to freedom break away from 'me' ,g hhh

This morning waking it don't feel real Am I sure that really happened? Was truth so easily concealed? Lessons so easily forgotten And in this moment I do feel This aint the start but it's a point of turning This is insanity revealed We must awaken to our calling We're on our way we're coming home soon Aint it a shame we're pushed so far before we move Hey what a way to start a revolution This is the real love evolution There is a freedom to the bluebird She does not pander to the drama She simply sings the song of loves word She is present to her power We're on our way we're coming home soon Aint it a shame we're pushed so far before we move Hey what a way to start a revolution This is the real love evolution Get out our way we're coming home soon And it's love that's coming home to roost Because the truth is we are powerful And we all know what we have got to do We're on our way and we'll be home soon In this game we're pushed and pulled but we can choose Hey what a way to start a revolution This is the Real Love Evolution

Thank You 04:31
I'm amazed to be among you And to share with you my dream I was lost and I was broken I was shattered at the seams Cause the road can be misleading And broken souls can steer you wrong But I know I'm part of something That is powerful and strong So I say thank you sir Thank you mam and thank you love for giving strength to this here man Well I travelled from my country Over miles of land and sea Because I thought there was an answer In that land awaiting me And you know I found that reason Though it was not the one I sought That the crash upon the ocean Is the beating of my heart So I say thank you sir thank you mam thank you love for giving strength to this here man When my lady went and left me She left me blue as blue could be Because I thought she was the answer To the pain inside of me And you know I loved that woman There are times I miss her bad But I aint got no time for angry I aint got a use for sad I just say thank you sir and thank you mam and thank you love for giving strength to this here man I gotta thank you sir i gotta thank you mam for their is love their is sweetness Hold your life in your two hands And it's alright, it's alright, every little thing is gonna be alright.

Love IS 06:29
The lonely writer sings of lost love He blames his woman for his strife He claims to him she was unfaithful She broke his heart and broke his pride He talks of love as a possession One you could lose under the bed but Love was flowing in the rivers Long before the word was said And if love is an old river Then we are leaves upon its life Though we may flow in its direction We do not steer we do not drive We simply float into the ocean All must surrender when they're there There is no fear in this surrender Only love awaits you here Love Love is a blue wave rising Love is your soul unwinding Love is your hair upon my chest Love is the joy of this happiness Love is the angel bluebirds cry Love IS Love IS And you my darling You're the mountains You are the wind that blows your hair You sing the water in the fountains You reflect the colours of this sphere And I know you're an open hearted woman Darling I'm an open hearted man In this dance we are forgotten It was never in our hands Love IS The lonely writer sings of lost love Or at least that's what he claims In fact he sings about possession He sings the song of egos pain For what is yours but an illusion ? We all drink from the mothers wine And are born of its conclusion We all are songs of this divine love Love is our hands intwining Love is your soul uprising Love is your breath upon my breath Love is the birth within the death Love is the angel bluebirds cry Love IS Love IS
